"You shouldn't be here," the princess said, her voice trembling slightly. "If I told my father he'd kill you just for setting foot in this room."

"That is how I know you won't," Sir Percival answered, cupping her face in the palm of that smooth, elegant hand. "My lady enjoys my attentions far too much for that. Do you not?"

She was ready with a scathing answer, but her breath caught as he leaned forward and captured her lips with his own. The kiss was soft yet hungry.
